1. Send us your photos
Ordinary phone photos are fine. What matters is coverage rather than camera quality: we need to see the subject from more than one angle, and at least one photo taken in daylight so the colours are right.
If you are not sure what you have is enough, use the free photo check first. A person looks at them and answers within one business day, before you pay anything.
2. We sculpt a digital preview
We build the piece digitally and send you rendered images from several angles. This takes most of the lead time.
A digital preview is not a photograph of a finished piece. It shows shape, proportion and paint scheme accurately; the physical piece will have real surface texture and the small variations that come from being painted by hand.
3. You approve it, or ask for changes
Look at it properly. If something is wrong — the face, the markings, the pose — say so, and we adjust. Each product includes a set number of rounds of changes.
Production does not start until you approve. This is enforced in our system, not just a promise: an order cannot enter production without an approved preview attached to it.
4. We make it and ship it
The approved version is printed, cleaned up, primed and painted by hand, then checked against the preview you approved before it is packed.
You get a tracking number when it ships.
What approval actually means
The version you approve is pinned to your order. That specific preview is what the person making your piece works from, and it is what we check the finished piece against before packing.
If the finished piece does not match the preview you approved, we remake it at our cost. That is a narrower promise than 'satisfaction guaranteed', and we prefer it because it is one we can actually keep.
How it is actually made
The sculpt is built digitally from your photos by a person, using photogrammetry and reference where it helps and hand modelling where it does not.
Pieces are printed in resin, which holds fine detail better than filament printing at this scale, then hand-finished and painted with acrylics and sealed.
We do not currently use automated photo-to-3D generation for the final sculpt. It is not good enough yet for faces, and faces are the entire product.
